Hi, I'm Mirna

West-Texas Based portrait & Lifestyle photographer

Born and raised in the good ol’ Midwest, I packed up at 18 and headed to Arizona in search of sunshine and new adventures. Somewhere between desert sunsets and mountain views, I found more than just a new home. I found a deeper part of myself. Eventually, life led me to El Paso, where I’ve continued building both my roots and my dreams.

I’ve always had a creative streak. I’m the friend who insists on rearranging the table so it “looks right,” the one constantly snapping photos and videos because I truly believe memories deserve to look as beautiful as they feel. I’ve never been able to just experience a moment; I want to preserve it.

My photography journey began in 2016 when I was gifted my first Sony mirrorless camera; the trusty a6000. From that moment on, it was game over. I bribed my little sister to model for me, and we’d drive out into the Arizona desert chasing golden hour and the most breathtaking views. My camera followed me everywhere.

I couldn’t afford fancy gear back then, so I learned the hard way, manual lenses, full control, no shortcuts. It taught me patience, intention, and the quiet confidence that comes from figuring things out on your own. There were plenty of moments where I felt like I was just pretending to know what I was doing…until the photos proved otherwise.

Even now, I sometimes catch myself wondering if I’m “just another person with a camera.” But when I look back at old folders and SD cards filled with years of sunsets, portraits, and memories I refused to delete, I’m reminded: this isn’t random. This isn’t a phase. This is who I’ve always been.

Recently, I’ve upgraded my gear (thank you, financial stability), recruited my boyfriend as my unpaid assistant and occasional model, and started building my portfolio by offering sessions to incredible people willing to trust me with their stories. Each family, each couple, each milestone reminds me why I fell in love with photography in the first place.

I may still be growing, learning, and figuring things out, but I’m beyond grateful for every single person who supports my work and allows me to document their memories.

Looking back at where I started, it’s amazing to see how much my photography has evolved. From shaky manual focus to capturing real emotion and connection, growth truly does look beautiful through a lens.

And if you’re here because you want your story captured honestly and beautifully, I would be so honored to document it.
